A different kind of clean
Most commercial shampoos rely on harsh sulfates (SLS, SLES) that strip the scalp of its natural protective barrier. Traditional handmade soaps, while natural, are alkaline — with a pH of 9–10 — while your scalp prefers a slightly acidic environment of pH 4.5–6.5. Over time, that mismatch can lead to dryness, irritation, and even more oil production as your scalp tries to compensate.
We wanted a third way.
Our shampoo bars are built on amino acid surfactants (SCI‑85, SCG‑11) – the same gentle cleansers found in high‑end facial cleansers. They create a rich, creamy lather at a skin‑friendly pH of 5.0–6.5. They remove excess oil and impurities without stripping. And they leave your scalp feeling balanced, not tight or angry.
East meets West in every bar
We believe that the best of traditional wisdom and modern science can coexist.
From Traditional Chinese Medicine, we draw herbs that have been used for centuries to restore scalp balance:
Purslane and Sophora to cool heat, relieve itch, and reduce dandruff.
Licorice and Centella to calm inflammation and repair the skin barrier.
Arborvitae and Clove to control excess oil and fight the yeast that causes flakes.
Calendula and Ginger to stimulate circulation and awaken sluggish follicles.
From Western aromatherapy, we add pure, therapeutic‑grade essential oils – not for fragrance alone, but for their proven benefits:
Cedarwood and Rosemary to balance oil production and improve scalp circulation.
Lavender and Tea Tree to soothe, cleanse, and protect.
Peppermint and Eucalyptus to cool, refresh, and deeply purify.
Sandalwood and Geranium to nourish dry, damaged hair.
The result is the Four Seasons collection – four bars, each designed for a different scalp condition:
