How long does one bar last, and how should I store it?
An 80g bar lasts 50–80 washes depending on hair length and frequency of use.
To extend its life: keep it on a well‑draining soap dish (not in a puddle), allow it to dry completely between uses, and avoid direct streams of water in the shower.
Never leave the bar sitting in water.
Is this a cold‑process soap? Does it contain lye (sodium hydroxide)?
No, this is not a traditional lye‑based cold‑process soap. Our bars are syndet bars(synthetic detergent bars) made with amino acid surfactants(SCI‑85, SCG‑11).
They are created via a melt‑and‑pour process that involvesno saponification, no sodium hydroxide (NaOH), and no residual alkali.
The pH is 5.0–6.5 — gentle and neutral, just like your skin. You can use them immediately after curing without any stinging.
Are the herbal extracts and essential oils safe? Could I have an allergic reaction?
All herbal extracts (purslane, sophora, licorice, centella, arborvitae, clove, oat, chamomile) are water‑based and generally well tolerated.
The essential oils are 100% pure therapeutic grade. However, any botanical ingredient can cause sensitivity in a small percentage of users.
We strongly recommend performing a patch test on your inner arm 24 hours before first use.
If you have a known allergy to any ingredient (e.g., clove or tea tree), please choose First Soft (no essential oils) or avoid that specific bar.
Will this bar help with dandruff and hair loss?
Our bars are cosmetics — not medicines — and are not intended to treat medical conditions such as pattern baldness or severe dandruff caused by a medical disorder.
However, Clear Dawn and Wild Clean contain ingredients (clove extract, arborvitae leaf, piroctone olamine in Wild Clean) that help control Malassezia yeast, a common cause of dandruff, and reduce excess sebum.
For mild to moderate dandruff associated with an oily scalp, users typically notice a visible reduction in flakes within 2–4 weeks of regular use.
For hair thinning related to scalp inflammation or clogged follicles, improving scalp health may create a better environment for hair growth, but results vary by individual.
